How to install the Hoverify Chrome extension
Three steps, about a minute. Install it, pin it, then sign in with your license key and all eight tools are live on the next page you open.
Add it from the Chrome Web Store
Open the listing and choose Add to Chrome, then confirm the permissions prompt. It lands in the puzzle piece menu at the right of the address bar.
Pin it to your toolbar
Click the puzzle piece to the right of the address bar and pin Hoverify. The popup is where every tool switches on, so it's worth the one click to keep it in reach.
Sign in with your license key
The popup asks for your key, the email you bought with and a name for this activation, so your machines are told apart in the Dashboard. No key yet? The popup links to the pricing page.
Chrome 88 or newer. Every Chrome released since 2021 clears that bar.
Shortcuts you choose. Chrome keeps its list at chrome://extensions/shortcuts. Every tool can take one.
Incognito, if you allow it. Chrome disables extensions there. Switch Hoverify on from its details page and it runs as its own instance.

How do I install Hoverify in Chrome?
Open the Chrome Web Store listing and choose Add to Chrome. Pin it from the puzzle piece next to the address bar, then open the popup and sign in with your license key.

Which version of Chrome does it need?
Chrome 88 or newer, so anything from 2021 onwards. If Chrome has updated itself even once in the last few years, you're fine.
Do I need DevTools open to use it?
No. Hoverify draws its panels on the page itself, so you hover an element and read its HTML and CSS without a DevTools pane taking half the window. That's also why it works on a laptop screen where DevTools docked to the side leaves the layout unusable.
Can I change the keyboard shortcuts?
Yes. Every tool can take one, and Chrome keeps that list at chrome://extensions/shortcuts. Paste it into the address bar, find Hoverify and set whatever your hands already expect.
Does it work in Incognito?
It can. Chrome turns extensions off in Incognito by default, so open Hoverify's details page and allow it there. It then runs as its own instance in Incognito windows, separate from the one in your normal windows.
Is there a Firefox version?
Yes. Every tool runs in the Firefox build; it carries an experimental label because Chromium gets fixes and new features first. See the Firefox page.
